Front End Developer

On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit a Front End Developer to join a growing marketing business based in Colne, Lancashire.

Our client works with a wide range of clients to deliver creative brand and web solutions. They look to combine the technical with the creative, working with a range of consumer and B2B clients across the country. The client roster includes leaders in hospitality,regional charities, large event venues, online retailers and business services. You’ll get the opportunity to work across a great range of projects on a varied client portfolio.

This role will be based in Colne, Lancashire, where you will work alongside the design and development team to ensure high quality delivery of work for both clients and the agency itself.

You will have agency experience and feel comfortable working on multiple projects at once. You will manage your time well and be looking for a new challenge in joining a growing agency.

**What will you be doing?**

As a Front End Developer, you will be translating designs into code that will produce the visual elements of the websites. These designs will be both XD and Illustrator files from internal and external design teams.

You will work closely with designers and bridge the gap between design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and define how the websites look as well as work.

The main CMS is WordPress and you will be responsible for multiple clients, both new build projects and on-going support. You will:

- Develop new reusable components
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UX designs
- Optimise code to be as performant as possible
- Collaborate with other team members, backend development teams & stakeholders
- Be client focused and be able to liaise various teams on projects

You will be a strong Front End Developer with a supporting portfolio to showcase your skills and experience.You must:

- Be experienced in building responsive mobile experiences
- Be comfortable building components for a CMS
- Have a deep understanding of usability and accessibility standards and approaches
- Be a strong and effective communicator
- Have proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 & SCSS
- Have proficient understanding of JavaScript
- Web animation experience is preferred but not essential
