We are currently looking for a Cook to join our friendly, fun and passionate Catering team here at Noah's Ark Zoo Farm.

Previous experience is essential.

You must have passion for providing great fresh food and to assit in the running of a fast-paced kitchen. You will thrive on being busy and will be great at multi-tasking.

**Typical shifts will be 7am - 3pm** or **9am - 4.30pm **this will be on a flexible pattern to include weekends. Days to be discussed further at interview stage. _(There is the opportunity to work more hours in our busy seasonal months)._

**Responsibilities will include (but not limited to)**:

- Supporting the Head Chef in the day to day running of the food barn, farm shop and food outlets.
- Food preparation to include street food, panini, jacket potatoes, soups, burgers, salads, homemade cakes, sandwiches and other homemade dishes.
- Helping to run the 'pass' in the food barn.
- Hot food preparation in sub-kiosks and main food outlets.
- Full kitchen food safety compliance; when using cooling equipment, utensils, chopping boards and fryers etc.
- Food Hygiene compliance and Allergen compliance.
- Working with the Head Chef to oversee food ordering and stock control.
- Keeping work stations and surfaces clean and tidy at all times.
- Washing up each kitchen department.
- Always following company policies and procedures.

**About you**:

- Must have a passion for food.
- Experience of working within a kitchen environment.
- Willingness to learn.
- Great team player.
- Enthusiastic.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Strong verbal and communication skills.
- Flexible approach to working hours, able to work outside of normal hours (occasionally, when required to do so).
- Willingness to work within the Christian ethos of the zoo.
