The post of Lecturer in Midwifery is based within the Division of Nursing and Paramedic Science and is key to the delivery and quality assurance mechanisms of our international midwifery programme, the BSc (Hons) Midwifery, delivered in Greece. You will work with the International Collaborations Adviser and will be required to utilise a range of communication approaches to develop healthful relationships and to work collaboratively with our partner.

The Division of Nursing and Paramedic Science has an established strategy that is built on its reputation for excellence in education, research and practice development. Person-centredness is at the core of this strategy and this philosophy underpins all our programmes and ways of working. Therefore, as well as focusing on the Greek Midwifery programme, the post holder will contribute to the implementation of this strategy across all our programmes and be expected to maintain their clinical related practice.

You will have experience in teaching, facilitating learning and assessment of midwifery within higher education as well as relevant current health care practice. You will contribute to the quality assurance and enhancement of the midwifery programme and participate in research and knowledge exchange relevant to your level of expertise.

Fluency in Greek is desirable but not essential.

This position will be a two year fixed term contract in the first instance and does not require regular attendance at Queen Margaret University.
