**Key Responsibilities of the Project Coordinator**

The Project Coordinator will work across all areas, primarily focusing on generating income, whilst developing and extending support services for the nystagmus community and training opportunities for the professionals who support them. Instigating and overseeing a range of new activities, events and interventions to raise the profile of the charity as a sponsorship opportunity and professional service provider, this role will work closely with the Executive Information and Development Manager and Trustees to develop and deploy our funding strategy, build greater engagement in our fundraising offer and implement our support and information strategy.

**The postholder will support the Executive Information and Development Manager to**:
**Work across all income streams to maximise income generation** **by**:

- Developing and securing new relationships
- Nurturing our current fundraisers, donors and supporters
- Instigating and overseeing a range of initiatives and campaigns to seek new opportunities for engagement and income generation
- Supporting expansion of our sources of income, from Individual and Corporate Giving to Trusts and Foundations

**Support and develop local, regional and virtual peer to peer groups by**:

- Building on experience from current regional and virtual groups to roll out a network of support groups to meet the needs of local groups, special interest groups and research projects within the nystagmus community and beyond
- Recruiting and developing volunteers to take over responsibility for face to face and virtual groups
- Overseeing volunteers and ensuring working practices comply with charity and safeguarding policies

**Build an offer of nystagmus awareness training for eye care and education professionals by**:

- Building on experience gained since 2020 to establish a programme of training to meet the needs of high street optical staff and school staff
- Promoting training and recruiting course participants
- Scheduling training, supporting trainers and liaising with beneficiaries
- Evaluating training to build on best practice and learning

**Market the Nystagmus Network service offer to relevant stakeholder groups by**
- Making full use of the Nystagmus Network’s current and any potential new communications channels
- Networking with relevant clinical or teaching bodies to build relationships and form partnerships
- Communicating messages clearly and maintaining the reputation of the Nystagmus Network at all times

**Planning, reporting and data management by**:

- Developing an annual action plan and event schedule for regional/virtual groups and training provision
- Continually monitoring progress against targets, ensuring costs stay within budgeted expenditure
- Monitoring monthly participation levels and report progress to agreed KPIs
- Recording all participation data, communications, registrations, attendances and outcomes
- Ensuring all data complies with internal procedures and general data protection regulations

**General Duties**
- Participating in committee and team meetings, contributing fully to the development of the Nystagmus Network
- Observing and acting positively on the equal opportunities policies of the Nystagmus Network and observing all Health and Safety regulations in the home office and at external event and meeting venues
- Being familiar and complying with relevant policies and procedures including, but not limited to: Risk Management, Data Protection, Safeguarding, Financial Regulations of the Nystagmus Network and Disability Discrimination Acts
- Carrying out any other duties appropriate to the role relating to service support and delivery
