The Freedom to Speak Up Guardian is an influential role with access to Executive Directors and the Senior Leadership team to ensure that a culture of transparency and openness is promoted & that those raising concerns are proactively supported, protected and appreciated. Excellent verbal & written communication skills are crucial for this role; you will be required to communicate sensitively & effectively with a wide range of colleagues.

You will be responsible for the development & delivery of the FTSU Strategy, lead on the development and continuous strengthening of a robust and open speaking up culture, handle concerns with integrity, confidentiality and tenacity, and hold senior leaders & the Board to account with regard to the Trust's Speaking Up ambitions.You will also coordinate & support the wider team of Freedom to Speak Up Champions & work with the regional & national Guardian team networks to learn, improve & raise the profile of speaking up at our Trust.

Internal applicants will need approval from their line manager to reduce their current post by 15 hours to allocate time to the role.
