**Role and Responsibilities**

This role is varied and requires flexibility to undertake additional duties as required, the role and responsibilities will include;
- Carry out excavation and reinstatement works following safe systems of work to repair and maintain sewerage networks, varying in depth;
- Operate plant, machinery and tools only if you are trained to do so in a safe and efficient manner;
- Drive vehicles and carry out vehicle checks prior to shift starting, including routine maintenance (e.g. oil, water checks) and cleaning;
- Take responsibility for the safety of yourself and others within your team to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and safe operation to protect members of the public;
- Report near misses;
- Follow company policies and procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment when relevant;
- Promote a positive image of the company.

**Essential skills/qualifications**
- Demonstrate previous experience in all aspects of ground works;
- Abrasive Wheels;
- Asbestos Awareness;
- Driving licence;
- Emergency First Aid at Work;
- EUSR Category 1 Locate Utility Services;
- EUSR Category 3, 4 & 5 Install, Inspect and Remove Timber, Steel and Proprietary Support Systems;
- Face Fit Test;
- Manual Handling;
- Medium Risk Confined Spaces;
- Vehicle Marshal;
- A methodical approach to processes;
- Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of their role within the business and demonstrate that they will undertake it accurately and diligently;
- An enthusiastic and proactive attitude, must be reliable and committed to consistently meeting deadlines;
- Good communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships.

**Desirable skills/qualifications**
- Previous experience working in the wastewater industry;
- Excavator 360;
- Forward Tipping Dumper;
- NRSWA Streetworks Operative.

Salary is dependant on qualifications and previous experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week
