Sales Assistant

Cornwall SoapBox is a family owned business which manufactures and retails its own range of traditional soaps, scented candles and natural and organic skincare products.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic part time Sales Assistant for our shop in Padstow and to support the shop owners to drive sales and maintain high levels of customer service.

You must have a passion for selling with strong communication skills. You will need to be flexible with regard to your working hours.

This position covers 3 days per week and will include some weekend working and possibly evening work during the summer school holiday period.

**Essential skills**
- A minimum of two year's retail experience working in a busy shop environment.
- Minimum GCSE passes in Maths and English Grade C and above
- Experience in delivering excellent customer care
- Loyal, flexible, proactive and approachable
- Keen to learn and develop knowledge of company’s products
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Open, honest and approachable
- Punctual and excellent time management

**Desirable skills**
- Retail qualification
- Understanding of visual merchandising
- A track record of achieving sales targets
- Experience in using Electronic Point of Sale equipment
