Nursery Chef

**Our client**is recruiting an experienced lead chef for its nursery in Cheam. You must have previous experience working in a nursery as a chef/cook.

**The nursery**is known to be one of the best nurseries in Cheam. It has an incredible reputation for excellent childcare and three beautiful settings.

They are looking for a special person who can run their kitchen in maintaining high standards, promoting health and safety and legal requirements, and cooking fresh healthy meals to meet the needs of the nursery.

The position is based on working 35-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (to be discussed further at interview).51 weeks per year.

**Your daily responsibilities will include**:

- Preparing and cooking fresh meals for all children and staff.
- Managing the children's dietary preferences and allergies.
- Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and equipment.
- Stock ordering and rotation.

**Previous experience of working as a cook in a kitchen is essential. High standards of cleaning are a priority.**

We will provide all relevant Food Safety training and support.

You will be working alongside the management in designing new menus and developing exciting and tasty dishes for our children to enjoy. You must have a very good knowledge and understanding of allergens and control - especially for children.
