St Helena Hospice is looking for a lead preceptor who is passionate about palliative/end of life care with an awareness of the role of a health care assistant (HCA)/ care support worker (CSW) in a health and social care setting.

Hands on experience in the HCA/CSW role in a health and social setting to a band 3/4 level.

A teaching qualification is desirable to support all staff involved from the partnership organisation and in the academy.

Please note that this is a fixed term contract role for 36 months duration.

What we’re looking for

**Job Summary**:
**People Projects**

Lead on the delivery of a range of key cross functional elements of the project with the interested parties, within specific agreed timeframes that support the delivery of the three year project. Setting up all processes and procedures to include memorandum of understanding, employment agreements and data collection.

Develop policies and frameworks that improve working practices and the working environment of the project, continuously looking for how things might be improved;
Proactively research, interpret, develop, benchmark and evaluate effective people management solutions to meet the needs of the stakeholders;
Promote a culture of employee communication and engagement throughout the project

Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that all operational systems and processes are fit for purpose;
Contribute to the smooth running of working parties to facilitate the delivery of people policies, projects and initiatives.

**People Service Delivery**

Develop and maintain strong relationships across the HCA/CSW academy partners.

Support the implementation of the project.

**Management Information**

Utilise people data and analytics to measure trends and patterns to influence the effectiveness of the HCA/ CSW academy to help drive continuous improvements and increase performance;
Set up and agree data collect with the Head of Hospice Education. Assist in analysing and reporting information to support with benchmarking the academy. Development of people/ staff across the partnership organisation. Ensure that all internal and external reporting requirements are satisfied through agreed monitoring and evaluation practices.

Ensure that manual and computerised data is managed within the requirements of the Data Protection Act and that people information is GDPR compliant at all times;
