**This role is based with the Advancing Quality Alliance (Aqua) Team, a NHS improvement organisation. Aqua is hosted by The Northern Care Alliance and will be based at Crossgate House Sale. There may be a requirement for some home working.**
This role will provide senior safety leadership and direction across Aqua, providing credible expert patient safety and continuous improvement leadership for a team to develop and deliver safety programmes and workstreams for Aqua.
In collaboration with national safety programme leads, regional partners and stakeholders, you will be responsible for positively influencing quality and safety outcomes for health and social care.
**Main duties of the job**:
The successful applicant will be responsible for the design and delivery of safety improvement and safety leadership offers.
Working at a senior level within Aqua you will provide expert insight and guidance in safety and mortality improvement, lead Aqua’s safety workstream and lead a team to deliver excellence across all our safety improvement workstreams.
Critical to this role is the ability to develop and positively influence regional, national and international relationships for safety improvement at a senior level with all stakeholders for safety improvement. This will involve reviewing and commentating on national, local, system and place strategic safety plans, demonstrating and delivering against Aqua’s commitment and contribution to safety improvement.
This role requires monthly travel across the UK and overnight stays at times
