A market leader in the food industry, based in Blackburn, currently have the opportunity for an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join their team

**Role Description**
- Carry out preventative maintenance, fault finding and deal with machine down-time efficiently.
- Action repairs and ensure that all measures taken are recorded so recurrent faults can be recognised
- Electrical and mechanical proactive and re-active maintenance on food processing, production, and packaging machinery
- Provide assistance in troubleshooting and identification of equipment problems
- Maintain relationships with production operators to foster a good team environment when working on the equipment.
- Write SOP's and other technical documents in support of the engineering department as well as the end users.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Electrical bias with mechanical skills.
- Time served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent.
- ONC/HNC in engineering or equivalent.
- Experience gained from food manufacturing
- Able to demonstrate a methodical approach to fault finding, including PLC's
- Familiar with Health & Safety rules, regulations and best practices
- Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
