Creative Support is an established not for profit social care company with an excellent level of achievements that supports over 6,000 vulnerable adults. The Purchasing department is based at our Head Office in Stockport and is a well-established team of up to 4 colleagues.
The Purchasing department is a key support to over 600 front line services across the country, we enable the efficient and cost effective support to supply stationary, janitorial and other essential items. We also support our national staff and managers with the purchasing of travel and hotel accommodation.
The Senior Purchasing Officer will be responsible for day to day support and oversight of team in conjunction with the Purchasing Manager. As part of the team you will create Purchase orders (POs), order goods, liaise with suppliers to negotiate best pricing and query expenditure to ensure the companies money is spent appropriately. As senior you will oversee some areas of purchasing that maybe more complex in nature and also work in conjunction with the Purchasing Manager to supervise the Purchasing team to ensure smooth running of the department.
This would be a good role for someone who is organised, has good communication skills and is interested in learning more about the logistics behind housing management in Health & Social Care Sector or would like to build upon their current knowledge.
