RAF Odiham is the home to the Royal Air Force (RAF)Chinook helicopter The chinook is called upon by Defence around the world 365 days a year - 24/7, supporting this capability requires engagement in varying ways.
We are looking for an individual to join our Media and Engagement (M&E) team to help deliver the highest quality of support to allow the Station and the Chinook Force to be highlighted, communicated, and engaged.
Being part of this Engagement Team brings you the opportunity to support the Engagement Support Officer (ESO), the Media Officer, and the RAF Odiham Mission.
37 hrs permanent full-time flexi hours are available.
**Job description**:
The Unit is committed to various Operations and provides aircraft and personnel at high readiness to react and support Defence as required worldwide. As part of the Joint Helicopter Command (JHC), RAF Odiham supports the British Army, Royal Navy (RN) and the RAF on exercises and training for Operations.
Engagement is one of the priorities for us, the individual will need to be motivated and proactive; it is a lively and thriving environment within the M&E area
**Person specification**:
- Act as Front of house for all initial internal and external enquires for visits to RAF Odiham.
- Daily responsibility to coordinate and maintain the Station Engagement diary.
- Assist in organisation of Station Visits, updating a visit register and providing support and details for Administration Orders and providing personnel with Visit Order numbers.
- Process Flying Complaints or assist in passing of information to the correct department.
- Update and manage the station broadcast screens across the unit.
- Complete the F540 returns for M&E.
- Assist the Media Communications Officer (MCO) with media enquiries.
Co-ordinate articles, including imagery, in liaison with the MCO with the Station Magazine, Helicon.
