An opportunity has arisen for a part-time General Clinical Administrator to join our busy reception team in Diabetes Services at Dundee House. This post is predominantly based at City Campus of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS trust with flexibility to cover at QMC campus at times.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and conscientious team player who has previous office based experience.
You must be well organised, be able to prioritise workloads and use your initiative.
You will also need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues, be well motivated and reliable
Welcoming patients and booking them in
Preparing patient notes in a timely manner.
Retrieval of patient notes from file storage areas, filing, printing/photocopying/scanning and data entry/typing
Completing outcomes and making appointments
Receiving telephone calls and taking messages
Making phone calls to patients to book appointments

The Diabetes and Endocrinology multi-disciplinary team is welcoming and friendly and we support staff to develop and learn within their role.
Ensure all patient notes are prepared in line with Trust Standard guidelines and key performance indicators including current paper records or thin folders that will support DHR requirements.
Printing clinic lists from Careflow
Photocopying/scanning as required.
Dealing appropriately with enquiries, by telephone and in person, from staff and the general public, seeking advice or referring elsewhere if necessary.
Ensuring all outcomes are recorded accurately and timely.
Keep personally updated and be able to advise patients in relation to peripheral services available, i.e. transport, interpreting services etc.
Being able to competently use Hospital IT systems and other information technology systems and participate in training programmes to develop and update personal skills to meet the needs of the department.
Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment, reporting any hazards or faults timely and appropriately.
Keeping file areas clear and tidy.
Ensuring patient notes are filed correctly.
Presenting a professional, polite and courteous attitude at all times and be appropriately dressed when on duty.
Undertaking any other duties, which may reasonably be required.
