**Full Time 40 hours - £24,000 - £26,000 depending upon experience**
It’s not easy to define a place that changes with the seasons. A place that lets the tide lead the way... Nestled between the wild north sea and the heather draped moors, Saltmoore is a sumptuous wellness sanctuary. The home of beautiful interiors, an indulgent spa and gym, and memorable culinary experiences - Saltmoore is opening in the coastal village of Sandsend, Whitby, this summer
The historic estate, formerly known as Raithwaite Sandsend, has been completely reimagined and is the site of a £10 million refurbishment of the hotel and spa, part of a wider £100 million development of holiday cottages and lodges.
As we embark on this remarkable journey, we invite talented individuals to join us in redefining luxury hospitality and making Saltmoore a distinguished destination.
We are looking for a full-time grower to become an integral part of the team, working collaboratively with our consultant head-grower and assistant growers to help organise the day-to-day running of the gardens and orchard and help to improve its resilience over time.
Day-to-day duties will include all aspects of organic fruit and vegetable production, from harvesting, packing, weeding (not much as we are no-dig), seeding, planting, maintenance, seed saving, composting, and record keeping. You will be expected to assist with fulfilling menu requirements in collaboration with our amazing kitchen team and work on both short and long-term planning with the rest of the team.
Working days will be 5 days across a 7 day week with shared weekend rotas. Hours will generally be 8am - 4:00pm, although this can vary depending on the weather and needs of the business.
