**Job Description**:
An opportunity has arisen for a **Panel Wirer** to join a modern, rapidly expanding electrical control and distribution engineering company, serving both industry within the UK and abroad. This is a full-time, permanent basis at their site in Leicester.

The main purpose of this role is to build, wire and assemble panels that are fit for purpose and in line with customer requirements and expectations.

Key responsibilities:
Building and wiring switch panels for commercial buildings and working to customer deadlines and expectations at all times.
Interpreting the drawing received from the engineer following customer approval.
Checking the drawing to ensure all stock is available for the project scheduled.
Building the frame, mounting of boxes and fitting of switches.
Using copper and making up of the switches and necessary wiring required for the job.
Working with other staff members when coordinating large customer projects.
To attend customer site to fit additional switches and metering at customer request.
Adhering to health and safety regulations.
All other duties as required that are considered to be a reasonable employer request.

Essential Skills

Experience in low voltage switchgear systems.
Formal qualifications i.e., NVQ electrical engineering would be preferable.
Accurate measuring ability and good numeracy skills and experience of using a tape measure.
The ability to understand the drawings provided by the engineer and what switches are required.
Previous panel/electrical experience preferable.

Salary for this opportunity is £22,880 to £26,000 per annum, depending upon experience, plus company benefits.

The hours for this position are Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm.
