**MULTI-SKILLED ENGINEER / BRIDGWATER - PERMANENT VACANCY**

**Location**: Bridgwater, Somerset

**Assignment**: Permanent contract

**Hours**: 4 on 4 off (2 days followed by 2 nights then followed by 4 rest days) 12 hour shifts

**Salary**: £42,000 per annum

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer for our manufacturing client based in Bridgwater on a permanent contract.

You will be providing support to the Engineering and Production teams along with line side operational activities, working closely with engineering contractors, to provide top level installations and maintenance on all machines and functions within the business.

**Duties as a Multi-Skilled Engineer**:

- Providing electrical and mechanical engineering with the range and level of knowledge and experience to rectify faults and carry out preventive maintenance as directed
- Actively contribute to and participate in installation or decommissioning projects
- Responsible for always working safely and using the correct PPE
- Undertaking risk assessments before beginning work
- Accurately record usage of spares and consumables using the companies in house system,
- Working closing with Engineering team including the Engineering Manager, On Site Electrical Technicians, Carding Engineers and contractors to resolve breakdowns
- Actively participate in the delivery of planned preventive maintenance activities
- Participate in the planning of installations or decommissioning of machines
- Working closely with the line side production teams and participating in basic machine operation when required and trained to do so
- Analyze downtime to work towards long term solutions on mechanical and electrical faults
- Diagnose re-occurring problems and implementing long term fixes
- Working on improvement projects and trials as required
- Analyze equipment or skills needed to afford completion of the job at hand
- Control daily workflow through the Engineering Work Request system, open, close and report on work as directed
- Participate in stock checks on engineering spares as required

**About you**:

- NVQ or HND or time served Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
- Experience with DC and AC writing
- Must be qualified to undertake industrial installation work
- Must be able to demonstrate methodical fault finding and competent solution implementation
- Ability to read and understand complex technical and electrical drawings and diagrams
- Competent with the use of Microsoft Office programs
