Senior Care/support Worker

We are looking to recruit a Senior Care/Support Worker and a Care Co-ordinator
(two days a week in the office).
The roles may be combined.
**The Role of Senior Care/Support Worker**
Will work to provide excellent standards of care to our clients whilst also acting as a source of support and a role model to the Care/Support Worker team.
Your hours of work will be as rostered.
A degree of flexibility will be required in the approach to the amount and times of hours worked. This is to ensure full cover of all visits during times of staff shortages and to allow for situations during which the Senior Carer’s presence or assistance is required.
The role will predominantly be based within the community. The role will also require a level of support to our office based Management team. This will also include conducting quality assurance based tasks such as spot checks and direct observations with the Care/Support Staff. This role is considered as a position of trust and as such comes with considerable responsibility with regard to representing
Future Care Solutions and safeguarding all aspects of confidentiality.
In addition to all tasks undertaken as Care/Support Worker, the Senior Care/Support
Worker should use his/her ability to assist the manager with the following:
To complete necessary assessments for new and current clients to ensure service provision meets all current needs and legislative requirements
To attend company quality assurance reviews with service users.
Senior carers are a vital link between other company’s and all health professionals
To complete reports and records as required in line with company policy and legislative requirement
To ensure all of the company’s policies and procedures are adhered to within the service provision
To undertake “spot” checks and direct observations
To ensure that Care/Support Worker’s performance of tasks is to a suitable standard as set by Skills for Care by the use of mentoring and working alongside new care staff
Senior Carers are seen as senior members of staff and as such their conduct should be exemplary at all times.

Understanding and acceptance of diversity issues
Previous experience in a Care based environment preferably at a Senior level
A good working knowledge of care sector policies and procedures
NVQ/QCF level 3 in Health & social care or equivalent.
A willingness to undertake further training courses as they become available
Excellent standard of written / spoken English
Ability to complete records, compile reports and additional paperwork.
Competent I.T.skills
Full flexibility and availability
Able to participate in the on-call rota, approx. every 6 weeks
**The Role of Care Co-Ordinator**
Will be responsible for the scheduling of all care hours and also supporting with hands on care as necessary.
Will be partially responsible for the team of care/support staff along with the Care
Manager, you will regularly need to liaise with the team to ensure that calls are covered and attended
Will take responsibility for organising the rotas by matching staff with clients
Make sure that the online rota system is regularly updated
**The Person**
A good understanding of the values that are important within Social Care
Previous experience in a Care based environment preferably at a senior level
NVQ/QCF level 3 Health and Social care or equivalent
Good knowledge of the local, geographical area to keep staff travel to a minimum
Clear communication skills
Able to multitask and work in a busy, fast paced environment
Ability to change your working day’s plans at short notice
Preferable scheduling experience
Be available every other weekend
Understanding and acceptance of diversity issues
A good working knowledge of care sector policies and procedures
Excellent standard of written / spoken English
Ability to complete records, compile reports and additional paperwork.
Competent IT skills
Full flexibility and availability
Able to participate in the on-call rota, approx. every 6 weeks
