**About the school**:
I am currently working on behalf of a fantastic and vibrant primary provision for pupils experiencing Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. The school is looking for a enthusiastic and energetic individual to lead outdoor classes with all SEN/ ASD pupils, on outdoor living skills and activities such as gardening, growing vegetables and looking after the outdoor environment as well as general outdoor activities and workshops.
**About the role**:
- Be responsible for and oversee the day-to-day planning and delivery of outdoor school sessions with support from the existing staff.
- Contribute positively to the school by engaging with the wider community.
- Work collaboratively with other staff in the school department and supporting whole school events.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of pupils while doing outdoor activities, complying with the school’s safeguarding policy
- Creating plans aiding development of the pupils
- Be compassionate, patient and enthusiastic in aiding all pupils through their activities
- Be encouraging and adaptable, so all of the pupils participate with outdoor learning.
- Plan a range of appropriate outdoor activities including games and crafts.
- Have a positive approach to behaviour support, viewing all behaviours as communication.
- Be able to ensure the pupils are having fun and are engaged throughout
- Have experience with leading Special Educational Needs (SEN) classes
