We are looking for a caring, reliable person to work in our clubs in the LE12 area as a temp professional playworker. The position is offered during term time working before and after school as and when required to cover sickness, maternity, holiday etc. We run an ofsted registered club which is a free play environment for 4 - 11 year olds with staff supervising the children’s free time and supporting their social development and play.

Working hours are 07:25-08:55 & 14:45-18:00 Monday to Friday (during school term time only) although the exact number of hours offered each week may vary depending on staff requirements. Free childcare within the club is also included to those applicants whose children attend the school and are in session whilst you are working.

Experience in a professional child care setting is an advantage, although with an experienced qualified manager to lead sessions we welcome anyone who thinks they are interested in a new career and those who believe they have something they could add to our staff team and club too.

Our staff together create the club environment each day and help keep it constantly fresh and fun (some children want mainly football, some want more art and crafts, some choose mainly to play in groups or role play, so a variety of interests and skills in our team is a good thing).

The key things we consider ‘essential’ for this role are;

2. Being reliable and motivated (setting up, feeding, clearing up etc makes for a busy work environment most days)

3. Being vigilant and professional

4. Having a willingness to work with a small team environment (we are there to set up the environment, protect the children, feed them, encourage and look after them).
