The Catering & Facilities Management Service are looking to employ a Cleaner in Charge at the Mansfield Bus Station. Duties will include cleaning duties such as vacuuming; washroom cleaning; sweeping; mopping; dusting; washing of furniture and window cleaning (plus occasional use of electrical cleaning machinery i.e. buffing machine and wet pick-up) dealing with spillages and regular checks on all the facilities on site to ensure these facilities are in a clean and safe condition for the public to use. On occasions, you will need to unlock and open the site in the event of staff absences.

The bus station is open 7 days a week, so involves working unsociable hours such as weekends and Bank holidays, for which additional enhancements are paid. The hours of duty of this post are: 05:10 to 13:00 Friday**,** 05:10 to 14:40 Saturday and 07:40 to 15:35 Sunday.

You will have demonstrated high levels of customer care, as the role involves working alongside members of the public and bus operator’s staff. Previous experience of working in a similar role would be desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. You will play a vital role as part of a team of cleaning staff. This post is predominately one where you will be expected to work using your own initiative, and you will be expected to programme your daily routine to meet the needs of the site.
