H.M. Raitt and Sons are a long-standing Main contractor who undertake High End renovation and new build work in Edinburgh and throughout the Lothians.

We are currently seeking an experienced skilled labourer, who can work alone as well as part of a team.

Experience as a labourer is essential.
- An excellent work ethic with an enthusiastic and positive attitude to work. Able to work well in a team and willing and capable of learning new skills while being aware of responsibilities of health and safety for yourself and other operatives on site.
- A full drivers licence.
- Knowledge of basic tools and how to operate.
- Knowledge of measurements and how to read a tape measure.
- Experience on site with a basic knowledge of how buildings are fabricated.
- Excellent time management.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual labour.
- Be able to adapt quickly, calmly, and positively to changing priorities.
- Have good communication skills.

Duties include;
- Check and maintain a high level of housekeeping within the site as well as maintaining cleanliness of site office and canteens.
- Responsible for storing building materials safely on site.
- Assist in setting up and taking down ladders, mobile scaffolding, and other temporary structures.
- Assisting of joiners, masons and other specialised trades through out construction project stages.
- Handling and moving of materials on site to each trade
- Adhere to all company’s health & safety procedures.
- Carry out other duties as may reasonable be required and assigned by the business.

Working hours are Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm and Friday 7.30am - 1pm. Overtime will be offered as and when needed. Available for immediate start.

**Salary**: £10.50-£12.50 depending on experience.
