**Job Purpose**

Youth Fed works in partnership with Merseyside Youth Association Limited to deliver the Talent Match Plus Programme.

TALENT MATCH PLUS - This project is financed by the European Union - supporting to create positive and lasting change in the lives of Merseyside’s Young People.

The purpose of the role is to deliver effective personalised pathway to employment for young people aged 15-29 years who have not been in education, training or work for over 12 months and have complex needs.

Through the project you will provide intensive mentoring to young people. Managing a case load of approximately 15 young people. You will be required to support recruitment, undertake initial assessments and to develop a personalised pathway utilising personal development tools designed for the programme. Undertake supported signposting into other services and to record distance travelled and enhance young people’s employability, supporting entry into employment including post-employment mentoring.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

**Work with Young People**
- To identify and engage young people aged 15-29 years who have not been in education, training or work for over 12 months and have complex needs.
- To market the programme effectively to the target group, via direct promotion and appropriate networking activities working with participation group.
- To recruit young people on the programme to ensure targets are met.
- To undertake a comprehensive initial assessment.
- To deliver an induction programme including a programme of tailored personal development activities.
- To utilise bespoke Personal Development tools to design a personalised pathway for young people
- To provide intensive 1-1 support including home visits, supported signposting and motivational activities.
- To plan, deliver and evaluate a group work programme which trains young people in life and employability skills.
- To plan, deliver and evaluate a roll on roll off programme.
- To offer a diverse and adaptable programme balancing needs, rights and responsibilities of young people.
- To facilitate residential incentives which motivate and add value to the programme.
- To coach and embed employment skills through a fun and challenging programme.
- To provide a holistic approach to address barriers to attainment, learning and employment.
- To support young people’s forums to increase the participation of young people in the quality assurance of programmes.
- To develop and monitor behavioural contracts with young people.
- To provide post-employment mentoring support for up to six months.

**Work with Other Professionals**
- To develop and maintain effective and consistent professional relationships with delivery partners, to ensure the effective delivery of the programme and ensure targets are met within deadlines.
- To identify and liaise with partner agencies providing existing services which meet young people’s needs and undertake supported signposting with young people.
- To undertake entry and exit 3 way meetings with externally commissioned and signposted services and young people to consolidate learning and to map progressions and next steps.
- To ensure that the project delivers effectively and provides a consistent approach with Work Programme Providers, Job Centre Plus and other Employment Strategies.
- To work closely with the Employer Engagement Manager and Employability Team, and other providers to provide job outcomes.

**Monitoring and Evaluation**
- To utilise CRM system to monitor and record young people’s progress.
- To record initial assessments including learning goals and individual pathway plans.
- To utilise personal development tools, session plans and evaluations in line with the MYA and Youth Fed systems and ESF/Big Lottery/YEI requirements.
- To work with Evaluators to undertake local evaluation and social impact measurement.
- To work with Evaluator to ensure all evaluation outcomes are met.
- To utilise agreed outcome measurement tools to ensure distance travelled is recorded and measured.
- To track young people during their involvement on the project and for six months post-employment.
- To ensure that all resources/expenditure falls within the budget and ensure Youth Fed financial systems are upheld.

**General**:

- Undertake such other duties commensurate with the post as and when required.
- To contribute to the development of the Annual Development Plan.
- Participate in relevant training and development identified in conjunction with Line Manager
