Funeral Operatives

**Role Responsibilities**

**The cleaning and valeting of vehicles (exterior and interior).**

**The driving of funeral vehicles as part of a cortege to funeral services.**

**Bearing coffins and assisting at funeral services.**

**General housekeeping duties to maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the premises.**

**The collection of floral tributes.**

**Driving of Private Ambulances.**

**Assisting in the transfer of care of the deceased from the place of death.**

**Participate in the weekend “out of hours” rota (for the purpose of the transfer of care of the deceased within the community) when required.**

**Experience is preferred, although not an essential as full training will be provided on site.**

**The role will require the successful applicant(s) to wear the provided uniform to present and maintain a smart appearance both internally and externally.**

**Applicants will need to hold a full UK driving licence.**

**Ideal applicants will be sympathetic in nature and aware of the need for discretion and confidentiality.**

**On rotational weekends cover the out of hours service. (Additional increments for the transfer of care of the deceased provided)**

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From £15.00 per hour
