Local authority in the search for a Neighbourhood & Tenancy Officer. This is a Contract role based in Redditch, initially for 3 months.

Here are the details of the position:
Job title: Neighbourhood Response Officer

Location: Redditch

Type: Contract
- Start Date: ASAP
- Working Hours: 37 hours per week
- Work Arrangement: Flexible (Remote/ Patch-based)
- Contract Duration: 3 months

Key Responsibilities:

- Have responsibility for managing a portfolio of properties in defined neighbourhoods within the Borough.
- Ensure that tenancies and leases are effectively and professionally managed in strict accordance with legislation, policy, and procedure.
- To fulfil the Local Authorities legal obligations to provide professional housing services as set out in the Housing Acts 1985, 1988 & 1996, Localism Act 2011, Local Government Act 1972, Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003 & the ASB Crime & Policing Act 2014.

**Duties**:

- Ensure reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB) are responded to promptly and effectively and in compliance with and full use of legislation and take ownership of cases.
- Ensure all emerging safeguarding risks in adults and children are recognised and are actively in prioritised as cases and responses are driven to successful outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with the Voids, Allocations & Lettings team to ensure lettings are sustainable and signing up of new tenancies is prioritised, so as not to impact negatively on void turnaround times.
- Be responsible for the management of garage tenancies.
- Be responsible for the management and engagement of leaseholders.
- Ensure co-operation and collaboration with respective teams and colleagues to assist residents who have multiple needs/issues to sustain their tenancies.
- Ensure both yourself and your team maintain and share up-to-date knowledge of housing legislation including the Housing Acts, Localism, and anti-social behaviour.
- Support investigations resultant from appeals, complaints, and enquiries and in the event of legal challenge, Judicial Review or Ombudsman Enquiry, co-operate with managers and other relevant Officers, to prepare all relevant documentation
- Be responsible and accountable for performance of your team and service, regularly feeding back and being outspoken on perceived risks or threats to the service or on any emerging opportunities to improve what we do.
- Be responsible for risk management, including assessments and measures to ensure safe delivery of services both within your team and across the service generally.
