Our Ground Operations team plays a pivotal role in upholding the safety of our operations and contributing to our achievements. Presently, we are in search of an enthusiastic and diligent Quality & Safety Specialist to become a valuable part of our team.
**What you'll be doing**
The primary objective of this role involves offering technical expertise, operational assistance, and supervision for the Ground Operations team and their contracted endeavours.
As part of this role, you will be accountable for a range of responsibilities, including overseeing the implementation of the department's compliance monitoring program and managing change processes. You will closely monitor safety events, trends, and risks across the network, conducting investigations for significant safety incidents with a high ERC (>500). Your insights will contribute to recommendations for modifications to Ground Operations policies and standards, while also engaging in safety promotion activities.
In addition, you will represent easyJet GO in various capacities, participating in national and European working groups. Generating company reports and presentations as needed, as well as contributing to departmental meetings, will be integral to your role. Your engagement will extend to liaising with lessor carriers on Ground Operations matters and providing support for new airport start-ups and ground handling partner transitions.
Moreover, you will take the lead on projects as they arise, and your expertise will extend to delivering safety risk support for the Ground Operations Team, ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
**What you'll bring to the team**
In this role, you will bring your technical expertise and operational support to the Ground Operations team and their contracted activities. You'll oversee the department's compliance monitoring program, manage safety events and risks at a network level, investigate significant safety events, recommend policy changes, engage in safety promotion, represent easyJet GO in national and European forums, able to write processes and procedures, liaise with lessor carriers, facilitate new airport start-ups and ground handling partner transitions, lead projects, and provide safety risk support to the Ground Operations Team.

This role is primarily based in Luton with up to 25% travel required, Monday - Friday
