Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace is a family owned and operated roller rink. 1979-81—2021. Founded in 1979 by Ian ‘Flipper’ Ross, our original rink was stuff of Los Angeles legend. For three glittering years an entire generation of eccentrics, outsiders, punk rockers and disco queens came together to experience a unique kind of freedom on roller skates.

Cut to 2021 - Flipper’s came back in true skate fashion Today we are an ever growing community of skaters and fun-seekers. A home for everyone, where you can be who you want to be. You don't even have to skate - Flipper couldn't We’re building new rinks that will serve as a connection point for all things skating, community, nightlife, hospitality (food + beverage), retail and more. From DJ nights to kick-ass merch collaborations, we’re building something that has never been done before, but wildly steeped in a bespoke tradition.

This is how You Role

To deliver friendly and efficient service; to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all our guests and ensure they have a great experience; our waiters are attentive to our guests’ needs and preferences, make recommendations and serve drinks and food accurately and efficiently according to Flipper’s service excellence in this area, establishing and sustaining the Company’s established reputation and ethos.

The ultimate goal of all our people is to deliver our service excellence, creating a memorable experience for the guest which makes them want to return and shout about us; you should be a positive, respectful and proud ambassador of the Flippers brand.

Key

**Responsibilities**:

- To report for duty punctually for every shift, in complete, clean uniform and sign in with their line manager.
- To ensure that all reservations are recorded following established procedures with full and clear information and that they are input accurately and promptly onto the system.
- To maximise revenue by converting enquiries, recognizing business prospects and taking every opportunity to upsell, including promoting merchandise.
- To provide an excellent experience to guests. The WOW factor.
- To liaise with clients and guests to assist in directing their guests to the rest of the party.
- To liaise with all departments to ensure the best service is provided to our guests.
- To ensure that all your work meets company standards and is according to training given
- To have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the operation of the business to ensure that you are able to respond to guest enquiries.
- To undertake general administration duties.
- To observe the Company’s rules and procedures and carry out any reasonable request made by their Manager, supervisor or the duty manager.
- To be aware of your responsibilities in respect of Health and Safety at Work and they follow all procedures in this respect and report to management any hazardous situation or accident.
- To attend training sessions and team meetings as required and to be involved and contribute to these.

Skill Set and Experience
- At least worked in a host position previously, preferably within a high volume, similarly multifaceted operation.
- An awesome team player, able to take direction and with a desire to develop hospitality skills, working with the Management team to inspire and motivate the department’s team of employees
- The most excellent interpersonal and customer service skills together with fluent verbal and written communication, English is essential.
- Proven organisational skills; a proficiency in organising and managing different tasks to required level of service and deadlines
- Expertise and patience to deal with any issues that arise - a creative and analytical approach to correcting any problems that arise and avoiding future conflict
- Extensive product knowledge, including styles of cuisine, beverage knowledge and wine service.
- Always approach customers with a smile and help to create a great atmosphere.
- Exceed our guests expectations by delivering service in a professional,

knowledgeable and accommodating way.
- Remain calm, patient and polite if receiving customer feedback.
- Are confident, self-motivated and demonstrate a passionate commitment to the
- business.
- Are friendly, professional, honest, reliable and trustworthy.
- Have good working relationships with everyone they come into contact with at work,
- behaving in a friendly, courteous and professional way.
- Bring a positive attitude to work, co-operating closely with team members and other departments to ensure that Flippers is the best it can be.
- Set a great example to new employees.

**Salary**: £12.00 per hour
