This is about providing invaluable support to your Director, managing the systems and processes in your area to keep things running smoothly.

You'll play a key role in ensuring an efficient and co-operative working environment. It'll involve day
- to-day organisational work, data processing and analysis. Naturally, you'll need to be on the ball and well organised, with excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

We do things our own way at Aldi. But whatever we're doing, we must be getting it right. With a wave of impressive sales figures behind us, we're opening new stores at lightning speed. And to keep on top of that wave, we have to do something pretty special to keep our customers coming back for more.

As a National Buying Assistant in our Produce team, you’ll play an incredibly important role in the whole Buying process. Working closely with a Buying Director, you’ll make sure that they have everything they need to negotiate the best deals.

That involves keeping up communication with suppliers and people across the Aldi business and making sure that every tender process is managed effectively. From ensuring we have great working relationships with our suppliers, to crunching the numbers and putting tender documents and contracts together, you’ll get involved in every aspect of the buying lifecycle.

**Your New Role**:

- Diary management and long term calendar management (meetings, planning & preparation) and schedule review to ensure on-time delivery of key pieces of work
- Arranging UK and International travel, including flights, trains, hotels, airport parking, managing itineraries and booking meetings.
- Ensuring actions and information requests are followed up appropriately
- Researching, sourcing and general preparation for any events or meeting
- Building and maintaining excellent relationships and communications with a multitude of contacts and stakeholders, internally and externally
- Regular handling of confidential and sensitive information with the upmost discretion
- Ensuring actions and information requests are followed up appropriately
- Ensure National deadlines are compiled for own area of responsibility
- Supporting the Group NSCM Director with external stakeholders, Senior Management and visitors and preparing for visits.
- Planning, coordinating, and managing meetings including booking meeting rooms, providing refreshments, and IT set up, agenda preparation
- Proactively identifying opportunities to improve current processes and increase efficiency and effectiveness within the teams
- Managing projects through to completion on behalf of the Group NSCM Director
- Minute taking
- Collate weekly KPI report and monitor monthly saving submissions
- Arrange contract signing sessions for new starters, and set up on Workday
- Reconcile monthly credit card statements for the Group NSCM Director
- Responsible for all Personnel tasks
- Create PowerPoint presentations on behalf of the Group NSCM Director
- Creation of various data reports as requested by the Group NSCM Director

**About You**:

- Experience within a similar administration/office environment, in a Personal/Executive Assistant role at senior level
- Proficient in all forms of communication
- High levels of personal organisation
- Ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Able to work individually with mínimal supervision
- Adaptability to work under pressure and prioritise multiple projects
- Ability to think strategically
- Experience in managing multiple stakeholders
- Analysing information to produce documentation

**What You’ll Get in Return**:

- Salary starting from £34,690 rising to £40,510
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
