Logistics Clearance Clerk

**JOB PURPOSE**

Premier Foods is a leading wholesale produce company based within New Covent Garden Market dealing with fresh and frozen deliveries throughout the UK. We are looking to employ a driven professional with experience of freight clearance both Land, Sea and Road. The role will encompass the entire process from start to finish managing the process for the business. The role will be based within our London offices.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Complete the custom procedures with total accuracy ensuring that deadlines are met both internally and those defined by customs.

Generate accurate invoices to clients for all shipment related charges.

Obtain and communicate internally and externally all necessary information to ensure correct measures are in place and customer needs are met.

Manage customer issues and the ability to deal with minor issues, disputes, or complaints.

Ensure documentation is Up To Date, loaded correctly and make your Team Leader or Manager aware of any issues that may arise.

Proactively action duties on a daily basis, supporting the team during times of absence or holidays.

Attend customer meetings and identifying areas and services we can sell to our existing clients. Liaise with the UK exporter all the way through to the delivery.

Arrange delivery of shipments with our transport team. Assist with staff training, sharing knowledge within the team and continually improving processes.

Any other duties as required by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Must possess Air export freight forwarding experience and also a couple of years customs entry experience.

You will have previous experience in a Senior Coordinator role preferably in freight forwarding.

You will have a good working knowledge and an understanding of: CDS, CHIEF & Sequoia Must possess Air export freight forwarding experience and also a couple of years customs entry experience.

**LIMITS OF AUTHORITY**

The jobholder’s day-to-day delivery of HR services will be autonomous, within the context of the priorities agreed with the operation team.
