Wood Machinist

Woodland Flooring Ltd is a manufacturer of premium natural wood floors based in Shildon, County Durham.

Created three years ago, the company is on a high growth vector, with a growing order book and customer base supporting its aspirations to become the UK’s premier manufacturing organisation in this sector. The company, therefore, looks to significant growth in the coming years, which will include an improvement in its production, delivery, diversity of products the rationalisation of premises.

In order to retain and improve both workforce and improve productivity, we are seeking a Wood Machinist to take key aspects of our manufacturing operations forward.

Following technical drawings and templates

Selecting the right timber for a job and calculating the quantity needed

Use of computer numerically control (CNC) software/Machinery

Use of and setting of Band saw, Moulders, Beams saws & other similar Machinery

Preparing, maintaining and operating woodworking machinery and tooling

Following strict health and safety guidelines

Good troubleshooting skills

Must be time served or Hold NVQ Qualifications

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: £12.00-£14.00 per hour
