**Estimator/Designer**
**Location**:Washington, North East
**Hours of Work**:40 hours per week

**The Role**
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Roof Truss Estimator/Designer to join the Crendon Timber Engineering team.
You will be responsible for producing detailed, accurate designs for our products to meet customer/business requirements.
We are looking for an individual with a natural ability to build rapport with customers and technical knowledge and
experience in Truss and/or Posi-Joist floor design.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- I nterpret customer requirements and estimator quotations to provide efficient and professional designs, ensuring
- targets are achieved and contractual obligations are fulfilled.- Prepare formal RFI’s as required.
- Liaise with customers and provide a knowledgeable service.
- Liaise with colleagues to ensure designs takes into consideration costs, targets and manufacturing capacity & capability.
- Generate enquiries from new and existing customers, follow up quotations and obtain orders.

**Skills Required**:

- Good understanding of I.T (use of Microsoft Office 365 suite).- M inimum 2 years experience in roof truss design, with experience in Posi-joists designing projects utilising Mitek
- and/or other design software.- Basic CAD and drafting knowledge.
- General knowledge of the construction industry.
- Familiarity with UK Building Regulations.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills required to liaise with colleagues and customers.
- A ble to work as part of a small team but have self-motivation to work alone to meet deadlines and customer
- expectations.- Passionate about exceeding customer expectations and providing excellent customer service.
- Full UK driving licence is preferable.
