Macildowie are supporting a local employer of choice that has operations across various sites globally, to recruit a **Commercial Finance Business Partner**. Working from the UK head office in Burton-on-Trent, you'll work on supporting the business with operational and strategic elements, ensuring the business grows revenues, profit and cash to their maximumpotential.

This Business has embraced flexible/agile working and are really flexible as to when and where you work, as long as the responsibilities of the role are completed.

So what is the job?
- Ensuring the **strategy** of Technology and Corporate functions are well understood
- Participating (in a finance capacity) in the process of **establishing new business**:

- Involvement in **contract negotiation and commercial terms**:

- Analysis and **interpretation of revenues, costs, overheads, EBITDA and cash flows** of current business and new opportunities.
- **Calculating and reporting ROI** and other applicable metrics including KPIs.
- Contributing to the formation of a robust plan and **business case for commercial deals** and reviewing contracts.
- Positively **challenge business performance and strategy**, bringing new ways of working that add value to the business.
- **Identifying areas of cost and revenue** synergies to positively streamline the business and maximise returns and helping with their realisation.
- **Ownership of the financial planning** processes and presentation of changes and variances to latest current company financial plan.
- Contribute to improvements in financial and commercial procedures.
- Ensure an appropriate mechanism to identify risks
- Provide a detailed analysis of current performance against the plan at regular intervals and identifying how current trends can affect overall business strategy.
- Obtain and **report P&L, Capex, Cash, Debt and KPIs** at business review periods, budget rounds and other key dates to enhance understanding of business drivers and support business performance.
- Facilitate an **information flow from the businesses to the financial reporting team** to aid the production of management and statutory accounts.
- Understanding the business case for any **capital expenditure** both tangible and intangible and ensuring the necessary policies are followed.
- Assist in **developing controls and reporting for costs, commercial margin, capital and labour** capitalisation to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Proactively **seek cost saving opportunities** and bring them to completion.

What are you like?
- Experience of working in a similar role
- Experience of **Business Partnering and Commercial**:

- Excellent analysis and Excel capabilities
- **CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified** Or nearly qualified with the right experience
- Experience working in an international environment highly desirable
- Highly developed understanding of Finance/Controlling processes
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Good technical accounting skills
- Ability to focus on key objectives and monitor progress
- Ability to build positive business relationships
- Action orientated and results focused
- Good communication and influencing skills
