Our client is seeking Support Workers for a residential project in London.

Location: Putney

To provide a high quality service to people living within the high tolerance supported housing at West Hill and to help them thrive by addressing their substance use and associated challenges, using a harm reduction approach.

To provide accommodation and support which enables people to reduce the harm to themselves or others from their substance use and develop the necessary life skills to move-on and live as independently as possible.

The focus of this role is to provide housing management, support and resettlement advice, advocacy and liaison to residents with complex needs. This involves developing effective relationships with residents and working with them to build on their strengths, enabling them to develop their networks and to access community resources. You will undertaking one to one goal setting using the homeless star, life skills sessions and other group work, support planning and risk assessments, You will work with the service user to identify and reduce any areas of risk, and you will empower them to become involved in participation initiatives. You will in collaboration with a range of stakeholders to coordinate support and resources;

You will need experience supporting and motivating people to achieve/maintain their independence and maintaining their tenancies, have an understanding of harm reduction techniques and possess the ability to organize a daily routine, managing and prioritising your work load. You will empower service users to gain the skills and confidence to live independent lives, fostering social inclusion. This includes engaging with the individual around their substance misuse and ensuring their effective and sustained engagement in treatment

- Salary: £ 24,054 Point scale 11 - 14 plus £ 3,934 Inner London Weighting
- Hours: 35 hours per week Hours: 5 shifts per week 8 - 4, 2- 10 or 9 - 5 over a 7 day period ( can include weekends and bank holidays) also includes 7 sleep ins over a 6 week period, allowance TBC
