My client based in **Jersey** is looking for an experienced **Band 9/10 Histology Biomedical Scientist** for a locum contract, starting as soon as possible.

**The Role**:

- Role: Cellular Pathology Biomedical Scientist
- Grade: Band 9/10
- 5 hrs p/w
- Start**:January 2023**:

- Duration**:3 Month minimum**

**Qualifications and Experience Required**:

- **HCPC Registered as a Biomedical Scientist**:

- **3 Years Minimum Experience**:

- Skillset Required:

- Routine Hhistology
- Microtomy
- Special Stains
- Immunohistochemistry Staining (Platform in use is a BOND III)
- Assist with specimen dissection
- Specimen transfer (biopsies)
- Embedding
- Quality checks for all stages of the process
- Non-gynae sample preparation (desirable)
- Ability to follow in-house procedures
- Computer literate for booking in samples
- High standard of verbal and written English for entering sample details into the Lab system and assisting with transcription at specimen dissection.
