**Reports to**: Group Director of Resources
**Working with**: All areas of the business (including Board, Volunteers and Tenants) and all
relevant strategic contracted suppliers, vendors, resellers, and consultants.
The position is a member of SLT.

**Direct Reports**: Data Governance Manager, IT Service Delivery Lead and Digital
Transformation Lead.

critical the Head of Digital plays an active and enthusiastic role as part of our Senior Leadership
Team.

To be a success in this role you will have significant experience in enterprise management,
leading the use of technologies, risk management principles regarding data and information
security, cyber security protection, developing strategic IT supply relationships and working in
partnership with peer management in implementing digital strategies and producing medium to
long-term budgetary forecasts.

The role requires the post holder to be resilient, personable, and capable of setting out the
strategic landscape for our technology, aligning the overall direction to complement our Digital
Strategy as well as having an unwavering focus on user and customer experience. As a digital
leader, you will see solutions not problems, and opportunities where others see challenges.
Leading the governance of our tenant and operational data, you will be inextricably responsible
for our overall technology journey as well as having the ability to coach and inspire others
around you.

We embarked on a three-year digital transformation journey and have already started work to
improve our data. The change will reach further, and affect our people, processes, and
technology.

This role requires; knowledge of what a good service looks like; developing strong relationships
with partners to manage costs, risks and achieve the desired performance to deliver excellent
services to all stakeholders. This role will ensure we have access to and use the knowledge and
technology available to us, be confident in managing large implementation that will affect the
whole organisation and enjoy bringing people on the exciting journey that Red Kite has
embarked upon.

**What we need you to do**:

- Lead the IT Service Delivery, Data Governance and IT Transformation Stems in a cohesive

way ensuring their priorities and plans support the overall digital strategy.
- Develop, implement, and continually review digital strategies to enable the business to

deliver excellent services that have value for money and high standards at their core.
- Make system and data security a priority, ensuring Red Kite are always protected.
- Strategically manage Red Kite’s IT Managed Service Provider ensuring the contract reflects

the needs of the business as well as reviewing performance.
- Bring a commercial perspective to challenge ‘the way things have always been done’.
- Provide everyone with a clear understanding of the external strategic context of the

business and its internal performance.
- Develop a 5-year rolling budget year on year showing a mix of BAU and investment. Work

with your Finance colleagues monthly to review spend and reforecast.
- Be a strong and effective member of the Senior Management Team, aligning your approach

to Red Kite’s leadership model - taking ownership, being accountable, supporting your
colleagues and demonstrating behaviours that engender trust and collaboration.
- Develop and implement policies and standards that meet the needs of our tenants,

focussing on how they help to enable people and processes while remaining legally and
statutorily compliant.
**What you will be responsible for**:

- The functional departments that we call stems, who are responsible for IT

Service Delivery, Data Governance and Digital Transformation.
- Delivering relevant, accurate and engaging performance information to staff,

tenants, our senior leadership team, our Executive, and the Board.
- Setting the strategy, continuously developing the infrastructure, and providing

effective day-to-day responsive services within IT, with and for all tenants.
- Develop and manage the pod annual and 5 year rolling budgets, ensuring we

achieve accurate and reliable forecasts, delivering value for money where
possible.
- Manage our strategic IT contracts with a keen commercial eye, ensuring

contract terms are beneficial to us and that all pod expenditure is managed
according to our Governance Regulations.
- Our relationship with multiple external partners to maintain, improve and

transform to meet the needs of the business.
