OMC Joinery ltd is a bespoke joinery manufacturer, servicing a wide variety of clients across the country. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced despatch co-ordinator at our Giltbrook factory. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established company in an ever growing industry.

You will be responsible for:
Planning and executing a delivery schedule - organising our vehicles and drivers to ensure our live sites never run out of work.

Liaising with the foreman and in-house spray shop to monitor production lead times and adjust deliveries accordingly.

Quality control - Ensuring all goods are correct, complete and ready for our fitting teams. Overseeing loading of vans to make sure goods arrive in perfect condition.

Cost control - Using our vans and drivers in the most efficient way to keep transport costs to a minimum.

Vehicle maintenance - you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are maintained and serviced.

You should:
Be an excellent communicator - managing a small team of labourers and drivers to ensure staff know where they need to be and when. Liaising with project managers, the foreman and spray shop to know what goods are needed when.

Have an eye for detail - checking all goods are as specified before releasing them for despatch.

Demonstrate strong problem solving and decision making skills - our work responds to the changing needs of the construction sites we work on, as such you should be able to adapt and overcome problems when they arise.

Possess a full drivers licence - our vehicles are up to 3.5 tonne vans, there will be some moving of vehicles required.

Have a resourceful, optimistic nature, pay great care and attention and enjoy a challenge, open to all aspects of projects with a hands-on attitude.

Previous experience within joinery/construction would be advantageous but not essential.

This role is available for an immediate start.
