**Description Overview**:
Providing the end to end Payroll Function for 2/3 UK payrolls. This position will be based in Braunton, North Devon. Producing an accurate payroll for all employees, fully compliant with UK statutory requirements and payroll legislation. Being the point of contact for all payroll related queries from key stakeholders and all employees.

This is a fixed term 12 month contract.

Must be available to start by July 1st.

**Scope of the Role**:

- Prepare the payroll for 2/3 UK payrolls, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll and subsequent reporting and reconciliations. Responsible for the end to end payroll process, gathering of the data for the payroll right through to uploading of pension contributions after payroll close.
- Maintain Payroll Tracker Files for Sick leave, bonus accruals etc.
- Deal with all employee concerns with wage payments, taxation or deductions in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain sound knowledge on changes in all taxation and payroll legalization and understand the impact of these changes for employees and on the payroll for both the UK and Ireland.
- Ensuring Payroll Procedures are aligned to set standards and SOX audit requirements each pay cycle.
- Work closely with other key stakeholders in the business to assist with the gathering of payroll data for Audits, Month End Processes and Payroll related queries.
- Support the Payroll Manager with any other ad hoc duties
- Complete all Year End Tasks, P35, P11D’s, P60’s
- Manages the preparation of payroll and reconciliation of all required payroll reports, employee annual tax statements and approves payroll reconciliation reports for each processing cycle. Responds to tax authorities to resolve any discrepancies in tax reporting.
- Completes financial accounting reconciliations on a monthly basis to ensure Payroll data is reported correctly in the General Ledger. Provides monthly accrual information to finance
- Manages all aspects of UK and Ireland Pension administration, uploading of deductions and auto-enrolment eligibility checks.
- The ability to maintain monthly records on Company Sick Pay, Maternity, unpaid leave to ensure compliance with company policies and correct statutory deductions
- Support all UK payroll audits working closely with Global Internal Audit and Finance team members.
- Knowledge of Auto-enrolment legalization and processes
- Continually review existing process and systems with a view to actively identify process improvements and ensuring best practices.
- Support any Payroll Related Projects

**Key Requirements**:

- Must possess in-dept UK payroll expertise with knowledge of payroll regulations and professional standards in payroll practice.
- Experience of preparing large payroll with numerous shift patterns would be advantageous
- Have at least 6 years experience of processing multiple payrolls.
- The ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically, both verbally and in writing, with individuals at all levels of the organization is required.
- Strong analytical skills are essential.
- Computer literacy and advanced skills in the use of accounting/payroll software along with a working knowledge of MS Excel and Word are required.
- Experience with SAP-HCM, ADP Payroll, Kronos time and attendance highly preferred.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential
- The Ability to work well under pressure and to meet tight deadlines as well as be able to manage your own time effectively
- Drives best practice and continuous process improvements

**Experience Required**:

- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Strong UK Payroll experience from start to finish
- Experience with ADP Freedom and Streamline would be an advantage
- Must have experience with shift patterns
- Basic excel skills
- Good understanding of UK Legislation
