Lady Sew and Sew is recruiting for a Sales Assistant for our retail warehouse based in Henley-on-Thames.

As a market leader in fabric, patchwork & quilting and needlecraft retail, we operate a successful retail warehouse and high street shop, which operates alongside our ecommerce and mail order business. This is a great opportunity to play a major role in our growing business, working full-time in our retail warehouse alongside the rest of the team to promote the business.

**About the job**:
Your responsibilities will include:

- Working on the retail sales floor.
- Serving customers.
- Picking and packing mail orders.
- Ordering stock from suppliers.
- Assist with receiving and unloading deliveries.
- Checking goods off against delivery notes, merchandising in our retail warehouse and recording any issues.
- Updating product and order details on our website.
- You may be required to work at retail shows at other venues.
- Ensuring the workplace is clean before and after work in order to meet the highest standards of safety and hygiene.

This is a hands-on job which will require you to do some heavy lifting. The type of work may change with each piece of work and you may be required to carry out other duties as necessary to meet business needs bearing in mind that the boundaries of job responsibilities can be a lot wider in smaller entrepreneurial organisations.

The core hours are full time Monday to Friday, however you will be required to work some Saturdays and Sundays and sometimes work away from home.

**Skills and background required**
- Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Interest and enthusiasm for needlecraft and crafting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good IT skills. Experience of Microsoft Office and able to update product and order details on our website.
- A very positive attitude, taking pride in delivering first class customer service.
- Ability to prioritise your workload in a sometimes high pressure environment.
- Full driving licence.
- Punctual, reliable, with excellent attention to detail.
