**Job Title: Procurement Manager**
**Salary:£50,000**
**Loaction: Westcott, Aylesbury**

**Duties**:

- Implement category and commodity strategies to optimize the company spend to achieve cost reduction, efficient end-to-end supply chains, simplification & standardization of the product portfolio working with product management and business stakeholders
- Direct involvement in material demand planning with the Inventory Manager, to ensure tight control of purchases, planning and consumption to support business needs and control working capital
- Plan and execute effective negotiation processes with suppliers to deliver year-on-year cost reduction
- Drive implementation of procurement change initiatives within the spend categories to improve business performance
- Robust approach to supply chain management including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract performance and risk management
- Procurement reporting and analysis of management information to measure savings, business, and supplier performance
- Measurement, management, and development of supplier contracts to drive commercial improvement and product/service stability
- To engage and work with internal stakeholders including but not limited to Product Management, Sales & Marketing and Finance
- Negotiate and execute supplier trading agreements
- Improve supply chain efficiencies and reduce the total cost of supply chain management
- Manage all activities that develop relationships with suppliers
- Develop the supply base to create competitive advantage and sustainability
- Ensure supplier price lists and trading agreements are maintained within the IT system SAP
- Deliver cost savings at the agreed levels
- Operate within and develop the framework of standard operating procedures and all corresponding procedures as defined within the Quality Management System
- Coach, develop and manage, the Procurement function and team to achieve 'best in class’ processes and results

**Requirements**:

- Extensive experience in the technical procurement of manufacturing / construction direct materials
- Proven track record of cost reduction and supplier management improvements
- Strong commercial, negotiating & influencing skills
- Ability to see the big picture but also be in the detail of the company’s spend
- Strong numeracy
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, across multiple projects
- Change Management leader
- Solid track record meeting substantial material cost reduction targets
- Ability to identify processes needing improvement, and to recommend improvements
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of developing a Procurement function and team
- CIPS Level 4 professional qualification or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 years procurement management experience
- Driven, passionate, "can do attitude" and a "self-starter"
- E-auctioning or E-tendering would be an advantage
