Decontamination Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Decon Assistant to take ownership of daily and weekly organisation of the decontamination room in order to ensure efficient turnaround of instruments and equipment

**Duties**:

- Ensure decontamination room hygiene and infection control processes are adhered to in line with current guidance ensuring the decontamination process is followed.
- Regularly checking stock levels of materials required for the decontamination process.
- Maintain practice equipment in line with the manufacturer's instructions.
- Be actively involved in the smooth running of the practice by working well with your practice team.
- Ensure excellent practice regulatory compliance and clinical standards in line with relevant regulation and guidance
- Ensure all validation documentation is completed and reviewed for the decontamination process
- Comply with health and safety policy and all relevant risk assessments including the use of sharps, CoSHH assessments and wearing correct personal protective.

**Salary**: From £10.00 per hour

- Newry: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- cleaning: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
