About our Senior Financial Reporting Analyst Role
Are you a Finance Business Partner seeking a challenging new role in a global FTSE 100 business?
We’re looking for an Associate Finance Business Partner to join the team, working within the Commercial Finance team, you will provide business partner support across several Sage’s central functions. Working with the Commercial Finance Analyst team, and with oversight from the Finance Business Partner and the Finance Business Partner network, the Associate Finance Business Partner will be expected to deliver insight and strategic financial advice to the business, supporting decision making that helps deliver on financial targets.
You’ll be analytical with a head for numbers, but also have the collaborative business partnering skills needed to set your functions up for success.
This role will provide the opportunity to develop your skills as a business partner, working with many areas of finance and receiving strong exposure to senior finance & functional leaders, representing a great platform for developing a career at Sage.

**Key Responsibilities**
- You’ll be involved in:

- Be a trusted business partner by building strong relationships with function heads and their teams.
- Proactively provide leaders with high quality financial analysis and guidance to aid commercial decision making.
- Provide standardised and simplified reporting as well as ad-hoc analysis and insights on specific issues.
- Own the delivery of month-end close for respective functions in a materially accurate and timely manner.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes including planning and budgeting and ensure compliance with appropriate financial standards and best practices.
- Drive optimisation of P&L performance and exert control over spending
- Ensure effective support for investment decisions by building robust business cases.
- Provide high quality forecasting and commercial insight to improve business predictability.
- Partnering with FP&A to deliver high quality financial analysis and key insights through monthly meeting with regional finance directors.
- Taking a lead role in the preparation of the Group’s Annual Report and Accounts and other financial reporting (e.g. interim).
- Ownership of the group share-based payment charge, including the calculation and working closely with Group reward on key terms of the awards and assumptions made.
- Working closely alongside regional controllers to ensure issues are identified and resolved promptly and efficiently.
- Recurring collaboration with the tax and treasury function to ensure the accounting, reporting and control practices are fully coordinated and understood.

What are we looking for?
You’ll be a Qualified Accountant or have a related Degree and have experience of working closely with senior stakeholders.
Alongside this, you’ll have
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to simplify financial data for your audience.
- Able to build effective stakeholder relationships quickly.
- Comfortable challenging and influencing decisions.
- Commercially aware
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Thrive in a fast paced environment
- Experience in financial modelling would be advantageous

This role can be based from our London or Newcastle offices, with hybrid working.
