**Position Overview**: We are currently seeking motivated General Operatives to join our client's team based in Thingwall, Wirral. As a General Operative, you will play a crucial role in supporting various aspects of the garden centre's operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of day-to-day activities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the receiving, handling, and storage of plant products and gardening supplies.
- Support the maintenance and upkeep of the garden centre, including watering plants, weeding, and tidying outdoor and indoor areas.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Help customers locate products and provide basic information and assistance as needed.
- Operate basic machinery and equipment, such as wheelbarrows and hand tools, safely and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in designated work areas, including storage areas and outdoor displays.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Assist with special events or promotions as required, including set-up and breakdown.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Interest in plants and gardening, with a willingness to learn about different plant varieties and care techniques.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused approach.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.

- Competitive pay rate of £11.44 per hour.
