Arts Festival Gallery Assistant

You will be part of a small team which means collaboration is vital. This is an opportunity for individuals to be part of a prestigious event where they can enhance their events management knowledge and skills.

**We have excellent opportunities for temporary paid staff for this year’s Pittenweem Arts Festival**

This role commences on 4th August with the Arts Festival Preview Evening and runs until 13th August when the festival closes. You will be assigned to support the various invited artists exhibitions and will be responsible for the following:

- Welcoming visitors
- maintaining the security of artworks in the invited artists’ venues during opening hours
- opening & closing the venue and housekeeping as required
- Responding to queries from the public about the work and artist on show
- Basic administrative/recording tasks involved in selling the art work and merchandise.
- Serving refreshments at the Preview evening

Typical working hours are 7.5 hours per day, 9.45am to 5.15pm. rate £10.50 per hour.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good timekeeping are required. An interest in contemporary art is desirable. Your duties will be coordinated by the Festival Office manager.
