We want to build a team of people with purpose. That’s why Wavin is currently looking for a **Supply Planner **to join our team at either **Chippenham, Doncaster or Swadlincote**. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.
**The role**
Reporting to the Supply Operations and Execution Manager, the Supply Planner will work 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday at either our Chippenham, Doncaster or Swadlincote site. As the Supply Planner you will be responsible for running the planning process for multiple departments. Ensuring plans are produced in a timely manner to minimise any potential hit on service. Cooperating with production teams in terms of delivery schedule, requirements, and availability. Resolving daily supply issues with suppliers.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role are to:
- **Inventory Control & Management**_
- Responsible for Supply Chain ordering of materials and components
- Stock target adherence including Safety Stock evaluation
- Review and manage master data to streamline the process
- Dealing with Import & Export requirements
- **Create value and mitigate risk**_
- Continues review of supply plans to ensure right product mix on stock and service level targets according to S&OE requirements
- Point of contact for production
- Team member of weekly S&OE process providing an input in short to midterm planning
- Giving input to S&OE in terms of potential supply issues, supplier constraints
- To contribute to the successful development of customer supply chain collaboration
- **Supplier Relationship Management**_
- Manage communications and working relationships with suppliers
- Effectively respond and resolve, where possible, performance and delivery issues
- Point of contact for production
- **Drive Continuous Improvement**_
- Improve P&L by driving decrease of slow-moving inventory
- Proposals of improvements of SAP master data
- To undertake structured and frequent review of inventory policies
To be successful in the role you will have/be:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English Language
- A degree in a relevant business discipline is desirable
- Experienced planner/purchaser with practical knowledge in supply planning processes
- System knowledge and experience of SAP R/3
- Knowledge and experience of Reporting & Analytics: SAP BO, MS Office, IBP
- Inbound Logistics knowledge
- Import & Export knowledge
- Previous experience in purchasing & planning process for a multinational company
- Skilled influencer with good communication skills that can effectively and pro-actively communicate across a wide range of stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skills
- A service oriented, team player
