Coreshop Operative

**Job Title**: Coreshop Operative

**Location**: Stourbridge

**Hours of Work**: 5:00am - 1:00PM Monday to Friday (Flexibility Required)

Mainstay Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Coreshop Operative for a well-established Foundry business based in the Stourbridge area of Dudley. As a Coreshop Operative you will be responsible for many duties in a foundry environment as stated below.

**Responsibilities of the role**:

- Following any pre-use checks and shutdown processes
- Safe operation of pneumatic equipment
- Maintaining equipment in safe working condition
- Reporting any concerns with equipment to supervision or management
- Inspecting production equipment before use and reporting any concerns
- Set-up equipment, input settings, position clamps and patterns
- Reporting concerns with tooling condition
- Maintain tool cleaning and preparation procedures.
- Identification of core defects or non-conforming cores
- Dressing cores, removing blow candles, and repairing surface imperfections
- Venting cores according to work instructions if required
- Utilise measuring equipment such as gauges or jigs when required
- Promote ideas to optimise core mass/cost/productivity
- Participate in the development and improvement of coreshop practices and procedures
- Participate and feedback concerns with design and development of cast products, materials, testing and process studies
- To ensure work is inspected according to company procedures and customer requirements
- To follow and read work instructions, standards, and care points carefully
- Reporting concerns which relate to increased processing time and reduce output
- Reporting concerns with raw materials used within the process
- To communicate with team members and supervision to ensure the area is working efficiently
- Maintaining core processing cards

**Skills and experience**:

- Previous factory experience is beneficial
- Good work ethic
- Ability to work in a team or alone
- Reliable and Punctual
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Ensure production demands and customer requirements are met
- Ability to use your own initiative
- Good communications skills (Good standard of English is essential)
- Able to lift 25KG

**Pay rate and Working hours**:
5am - 1pm Day Shift Monday - Friday
