Property Inspector

David James Lettings are looking for a part-time Property Inspector to join our professional and established team at our Mapperley Office. You will also be required to carry out this role for our sister company on the same basis.

The hours are 09:00 - 17:30 three days a week, working every Friday and two further mutually agreed weekdays.

To be considered for the role, you will need to be able to demonstrate experience of working in a customer-facing role and hold a valid driving license and have access to your own transportation.

The role is field-based and will comprise of visiting manged properties for the purposes of mid-tenancy inspections. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail is essential in this important role. IT proficiency is also necessary due to the need to utilise numerous cloud-based software programmes, for which on-site training will be provided.

**Diary management**:
Booking inspections from pre-existing log.
Rebooking any cancellations.
Ensuring visits are not delayed unreasonably.

**Inspections**:
Maintaining a strong professional relationship with Tenants.
Use third-party software on a tablet to conduct inspections.
Taking clear photos of properties and issues.
Being able to spot maintenance concerns during visits.
Being able to determine responsibility for issues found.
Understand and carry out compliance checks during visits.

**Administration**:
Load inspections onto tablet.
Check out/in any keys taken from the office.
Prepare and send inspections to Landlords and the Property Management team.
Close down any completed inspections.

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour
