Procurement and Planning Assistant

**Summary**
To be successful as a Procurement and Planning Assistant you will be competent, accurate and have a responsible mindset with a proactive and flexible approach, working closely with Directors of the business and small office team. The successful person willhave experience working in the Electronic industry with in-depth knowledge of electronic components, their specifications and how their functions would impact the overall product design. Experience on SAGE 200 or Oracle within a procurement/ planning rolewill be important.
**Duties and Responsibilities include the following.**
- Set up data relating to the procurement of parts for new and existing products,
- Correctly inputting information regarding parts onto our systems and reporting on their availability accurately and regularly to other staff
- Progress actions for the successful manufacturing of new products to the Research and Development Engineers along with managing timelines for efficient procurement of run-rate products
- Analyse data, identify any issues, find a suitable solution to problems and ensure timelines are met.
**Education and/or Experience**
- Proven experience with a procurement/planning role with experience in using ERP systems such as SAGE 200 and/or ORACLE
- In-depth knowledge of electronic components, their specifications and how their functions would impact the overall product design
- Good planning and organisation skills
- Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail
- Ability to identify, analyse and solve problems
- Flexible approach and ability to work well under pressure
- Able to work well individually and within a team environment
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- The ability to ‘juggle’ many tasks
- Understanding when to intervene to chase for actions to be completed and exceptional organisational skills are required
- Work both on own initiative and as part of a team with a helpful and positive approach
**Language Skills**
Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
**Computer Skills**- Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
- Experience in SAGE 200 and/or ORACLE
