**About the Job**
We are therefore recruiting additional full time Production Chargehand(s) to supervise & contribute to shopfloor manufacturing activities. The exact processes involved will depend on your experiences & current company requirements.
You will start leading a team comprising of up to a dozen technicians with strong potential for promotion once results are constantly proven.
As a Production Chargehand, you will be responsible for managing an experienced though diverse team; your will be highly organised and able to ensure that manufacturing remains smooth and focused through constant engagement with your team, our custom computer system and our senior management.
**Working hours**
This is a hands-on role of up to 50 hours per week fitting within Monday to Saturday; 7:00am to 5.30pm, typically Monday to Friday. As part of the Supervisory team, your exact hours will vary slightly depending on holiday cover \ working patterns. You will be involved in planning and implementing this.
You will sometimes be required to Supervise during a Saturday shift if we are working them.
We always stop production before Christmas and return in the New Year. Bank holidays are mostly taken off.
**Responsibilities**
- Supervise an experienced team of Shopfloor technicians.
- Assist and Deputise the entire operations on the Shopfloor effectively.
- Monitor and prioritise workflow to meet deadlines.
- Continuously evaluate and promote production quality & team productivity.
- Contribute to and enforce H&S and QMS requirements.
- Balance Supervisory time with being “Hands On”.
- Act as a communication channel between your team and senior management & promoting company culture.
**Qualifications / Experience**
- Working knowledge of various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
- Significant experience of working on a manufacturing Shopfloor.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to pick up new production techniques quickly.
- Good computer skills.
**Salary & Benefits**
Remuneration will be up to £36,400 per annum depending on experience & hours, with a workplace pension being offered after successful completion of the probationary period.
