The working hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 4.30pm on Friday. You will also be able to work from home 1 or 2 days per week, depending on the business needs.
**The Essence of The Role**
Supporting the Purchasing Team. You will have full autotomy in the role and be able to fit the ground running and work independently. Working on a £35million project that can only accommodate on materials on site for a few days at a time. This is a fast placed role.
**The scope of the role**
- Organise all materials and Hire equipment and arrange to be on site so daily work can start
- Negotiate with suppliers on prices and agree delivery dates
- Monitor and maintain purchasing budget and record all spend
- Work closely with site staff to ensure any delays are dealt with promptly to avoid any hold ups
- Provide demand forecast
- Achieve the SMART targets and objectives set by the Procurement Lead
- Create and maintain relationships with suppliers
**Prerequisites**
- Must have construction experience to be able to hit the ground running
- Flexible to be able to go on site when required
- Driver and Own Transport
- Super organised and efficient
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
