City College Peterborough’s Study Skills department are looking for a Sport Tutor to join their team. We are excited about our future and are seeking someone to share and develop our vision for young people.

Due to a growth in teaching, we?are seeking a confident and motivated tutor that can help and support learners to develop their Sports qualification along with embedding English and Maths.

You will work with lecturers to raise the learning and attainment of young people, while promoting their social inclusion, self-esteem and independence. You will support students in the Sport vocational area of the college and ensure all students are provided with the most appropriate level of support to assist them to access the curriculum, participate in learning and fulfil their potential.

You will need to be able to use your own initiative while supporting learners, dealing with situations with tact and empathy. The need to be flexible in your approach is imperative. You will need to be qualified to GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths and ideally have experience of working with people with SEND. We are ambitious for our learners and suitable applicants will possess the drive and determination to support and aspire learners to achieve.

All the staff are dedicated to education, training, skills and putting learners first. Learners are at the heart of everything we do.

The job role will also include contributing to the continued development of the Department, providing tutorial support for learners, and carrying out the associated administrative tasks connected with the position.
